Super queen and super king sizes are available for many of our pieces and have quickly become staples. These versatile additions are extensions of the queen and king sizes, made to add extra width and accommodate thicker mattress sizes. Here, we’re unpacking these unique Eastern Accents sizes and why they’re some of our most popular choices.
What are Super Queen and Super King Sizes?
In addition to standard king and queen, Eastern Accents offers both super king and super queen sizes. Super sizes are available in coverlets, comforters, duvet covers, and duvet inserts. These special sizes are extra-long on the sides, designed to accommodate a pillowtop mattress. The extra length can also be useful if you plan on tucking the duvet or coverlet under the mattress, or if you are trying to hide a boxspring. They provide a styled, slightly oversized, full look.
As opposed to our custom options, super queen and king sizes are two standard, fixed sizes, made as an easy option to accommodate extra drop needed for your ideal fit.
How Do They Fit?
Our super king and queen sizes are created with industry standard mattresses in mind. (A queen mattress that's 60x80 and a king that is approx. 76-78x80)

While these measurements are a helpful guide, the front drop, or the overhang at the bottom of the mattress, is flexible and depends on your styling preference. Pulling the duvet or comforter up will make the drop a little shorter. Folding the bedding over will give you more for the overhang. The drop here is a matter of preference and your personal vision!
We always recommend measuring the height and size of your mattress before you order to confirm which bedding size is best for you; these measurements are approximate, and every mattress is different! If in between sizes, we typically recommend rounding up.
What About Inserts?
Our duvet covers and inserts are made to fit with each other perfectly, with ties in the four corners to keep everything looking full. If you have a super size duvet cover, we offer super size duvet inserts for an exact fit. These options are available for both down and faux down duvet inserts. Gusset Sizes
While gusset sizing is different than super sizing, its another easy and instant option we offer on our website. Whereas super sizes are relevant to the drop needed, particularly on the sides of bedding, the gusset refers to the depth of the mattress. This is particularly useful when measuring fitted sheets. We offer gusset customization for most sheet sets and fitted sheets. Just like with super size bedding, we always recommend measuring to make sure our bedding is crafted to fit your mattress perfectly. These customizations are available as drop downs on our website under the product size.
