Design
It all begins in our design department! Our expert team of textile designers carefully source fabric and trims from around the world to create new, trend-setting collections every season. Each new bedding collection goes through several rounds of development, including discussions between design, sales, production, and marketing teams. Designers consider how a fabric's quality, weight, texture, and coloring coordinate with each other, our current offerings, and the very latest in textile and fashion trends. Once a design is finalized, a spec is created and our production team gets the ball rolling.
Production
The ground floor of the Eastern Accents factory is every designer's dream. Fabric inventory, cutting, and sewing are all just footsteps away. Our curated inventory includes about 2,000 luxury fabrics, over 600 trims, and an extensive zipper inventory which includes every size, color, and style to perfectly match our products. Right next to inventory is our cutting department, where most orders begin.
Following detailed product specs, our team of skilled fabric cutters are trained in cutting many delicate and intricately patterned fabrics by hand to avoid damage or inconsistencies. A simple square pillow only requires two pieces of fabric, but shaped pillows require a little more attention. To make the sphere shape, fabric is cut in 6 oblong pieces. The arched edges create a curved seams, making a 3-D shape out of flat fabric. Our cutters are incredibly precise, and use specialty scissors and tables to get this job done right. After the fabric is cut and decorated with trims, painting, or embroidery, the project heads over to the sewing department to be put together. Our highly skilled seamstresses sew the pattern at top speed, all while working with delicate specialty fabrics, to craft our beautiful product.
Down department
The final step in production is adding a pillow insert! To ensure each of our products is filled with the very best down or faux down forms, we make our own. You have the choice of feather, microfiber, or a 50/50 blend filling, all for no additional cost. Our Cloud microfiber inserts are the ideal choice for specially shaped pillows, such as spheres, as faux-down holds its shape and stays upright. Our inserts are never vacuumed sealed, so they stay fluffy from the day they are crafted in our Chicago factory until they reach your doorstep.

After all of our production team’s hard work, we have brought our designer's vision of sphere pillows to life! It bursts with bright colors and lively patterns, featuring a tropical textile embroidered in an abstract palm leaf design.
