Spring High Point Market has come and gone! At Eastern Accents, it was another week filled with Krispy Kremes, decorative pillows, and our famous sangria…but this season we wanted to add something special. After last summer’s showroom renovation, we had a whole new space to transform for Market. Just like every one of our pillows is trimmed to perfection, it was all in the little details when it came to our springtime showroom.
Fabulous Florals

May flowers came early this year! We started decorating this room with Thibaut’s Katsura wallpaper in green and white. Airy and artistic, this wall covering showcases fine line-work of branches, blossoms, and birds. Then, we brought the blooms off the wall and into reality with a floor-to-ceiling floral installation. Real greenery and colorful petals climbed the walls, culminating in an overhanging centerpiece of faux-blossoms. Small floral arrangements were dotted around the room, sat inside charmingly mis-matched teacups. Dreamy, lush, and fragrant—this canopy of flowers was a show-stopping way to welcome guests into our showroom.
Monogrammed Bed
Before we could add the bedding we’re best known for, we needed an upholstered bed worthy of this enchanting space. Our master furniture builders started with our Antionette bed frame upholstered in Breeze Linen, then added plenty of special detail. Layers of trim (Charming Taupe Gimp set over Border Bale A) customized the gusset of the curved headboard. We thought this often overlooked edge could use a little extra attention! The crowning jewel of this bed was a fabulous custom monogram. Our bold Maren font in a generous 12” size and bisque-colored thread really made a statement. Botanical Bedding
With the furniture in place, it was time to add the bedding that inspired this whole room. Ida’s enchanting fine linen collection led us down a path into a secret garden. Sourced from a premier Italian fashion mill, an organic satin centerpiece burst with bright hues and graceful swirls, forming a pastoral springtime scene. Ida's botanical print, plush alpaca velvet, and hand-painted motifs juxtaposed a classic duvet cover with sophisticated charm. This washable ensemble was complete with a woven citron coverlet, layering the bed in lush elegance.
Artistic Accents
Next, we unleashed our inner artist with Palette by Studio 773. Each a unique work of art, this line of hand-painted decorative pillows accented our showroom with their dreamy, watercolor effect. Pastel hues, ombre stripes, and distressed sections provided carefree flair to these cultured designs. Coordinating color-blocked pillows continued each color scheme in plush, matte velvet. These artisan-made accents were as pretty as a picture.
Coordinating Fragrance

To create a truly decadent ambiance, we didn’t have to go far. Our Chicago neighbors at The Scent Queen created a custom candle inspired by Ida! A dreamy compliment to our collection, the delicate fragrance evoked a springtime landscape with lemon and rainshower scents. The smell of jasmine and bergamot echoed Ida’s graceful botanical print, accented by black tea and amber. Rich notes of moss and earth finished the profile with a lush, grounding presence. To compliment this handmade scented candle, we also made custom matchbooks featuring Ida’s logo.
Tea Time

To perfect the garden-party vibes, we served daily afternoon tea! Showroom visitors enjoyed a cup of English Breakfast and a selection of delicious biscuits. Check out our three shortbread recipes below and try for yourself at home!
